Hello! Can you ovulate more than once per menstrual cycle if you have irregular periods? I have used ovulation tests.

The ovulation test showed positive on the 4th of September, but today, the 12th of September, when I had a gynecological examination, they saw that I have a follicle that is mature and that it will burst at any time. Could it mean two ovulations this period or is it the ovulation at the beginning of the month that hasn't happened yet? My menstrual cycle was 43 days last month, but my lowest menstrual cycle has been 26 days. Have had ovulation pain since 4 Sep. Isn't it the case that you have to have fertile secretions to get pregnant? Namely, I had ovulation secretions between 31 Aug-5 Sep and now I'm dry even though I'm close to ovulation. How does this go together? Is there still a chance that you can get pregnant and pass the man's swimmers even though you don't have ovulatory secretions? Thanks for reply. Thanks in advance!

Hello. Good thoughts, I think. Yes you can have more than one ovulation. The bleeding always comes 14 days after ovulation. It is common to have the shiny transparent discharge during ovulation but of course you can ovulate without it. Or that secretion comes with ovulation. This facilitates the sperm but is not always necessary. As a rule, have intercourse regularly about every three days and you will hopefully get pregnant. Avoid alcohol and tobacco. Sperm can live up to 5 days in the woman. Ovulation tests are not always reliable. Good luck. /Amelie
